Job Highlights
About the Role
Each day you will inspect, diagnose and repair a wide range of diesel trucks and equipment, covering electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems. You’ll estimate time and material costs, work within Standard Labor Repair Times, and respond to emergency breakdown calls while performing safety checks. Documentation of parts usage, repair times and completion of inspection‑report repairs is required, as is maintaining a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area and assisting senior mechanics on projects. The job involves frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, and continuous standing, walking and grasping, often in noisy, odorous or extreme weather conditions. Work is performed both inside a garage/shop environment and outdoors in inclement weather, with exposure to cuts, burns and toxic chemicals mitigated by safety protocols. • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on diesel trucks and equipment. • Estimate time and material costs and complete work within Standard Labor Repair Times. • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls and perform safety checks. • Document repairs, parts usage and repair times; assist senior mechanics and handle inspection‑report repairs. • Maintain a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area.

What You Bring
We consider candidates with at least two years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the role. Applicants must be 18 or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical. Successful mechanics thrive as team players who enjoy independent work, embrace daily variety and bring determined problem‑solving skills.
