About the Role
The role involves early concept ideation, where the individual initiates and reviews design concepts, analyzes and ideates, and conducts peer reviews of detailed designs. As a subject‑matter expert, they engage internally and externally on data‑center infrastructure design and operations. They take a holistic systems approach, overseeing electrical, mechanical, network, and control systems within data‑center projects. Additionally, they advise on performance metrics such as value engineering, efficiency, resiliency, sustainability, and operability. • Initiate and review early design concepts with peer reviews. • Serve as subject‑matter expert for data‑center infrastructure design and operations. • Oversee electrical, mechanical, network, and control systems holistically. • Advise on value engineering, efficiency, resiliency, sustainability, and operability metrics. • Create customized physical‑layer solutions for hyperscale, liquid‑cooling, and modular edge data centers. • Apply DMAIC methodology for process improvement and technical program management. • Author whitepapers and drive innovation. • Communicate effectively with executives and stakeholders, prioritizing and escalating issues. • Successfully operate within a global matrix organization to foster cross‑business collaboration.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent from an accredited institution. A minimum of ten years’ experience in the data‑center business is required, encompassing any combination of the seven dimensions: gray space, white space, fiber, cooling, power, controls, and rack design. Technical expertise should include fiber optics, electrical systems, mechanical cooling, controls, and liquid‑cooling technologies (direct‑to‑chip, two‑phase, immersion). Experience in product design or product management, with knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies, is essential. Specialized industry knowledge for creating custom physical‑layer solutions for hyperscale, liquid‑cooling, and modular edge segments is also required. The position demands strong DMAIC experience for process improvement, high proficiency in technical program management, and the ability to author whitepapers that drive innovation. Effective executive communication is vital, including clear articulation of abstract ideas, prioritization, and escalation. Proactive initiative, excellent time management, and cross‑functional collaboration with internal teams and third‑party vendors are expected.
