About the Role

• Assist in design of roadway drainage systems, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, hydraulic/hydrologic analysis, and NPDES permitting • Develop preliminary to final design calculations and drawings • Review field information and conduct inspections of existing stormwater facilities • Prepare technical design reports and permitting applications • Utilize MicroStation, AutoCAD, and other civil engineering design software • Perform portions of broader assignments, gathering and correlating engineering data • Execute detailed engineering calculations and drainage‑related CAD work • Propose solutions for new problems using modified standard procedures • Identify discrepancies in results and ensure work aligns with budget and schedule • Independently complete primary design elements for engineering projects

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related) with at least 4 years of experience, or equivalent education/experience • Engineer‑in‑Training (E.I.T.) certification • Proficient with Microsoft Office and industry‑standard software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within six months of hire • Experience with drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and hydraulic/hydrologic design • Familiarity with water resources software (e.g., GeoPak Drainage, HEC‑RAS, FHWA Hydraulic Toolbox, HY‑8)
