About the Role
The Operating Engineer role supports the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems at an on‑site location in Washington, DC. The position follows a Monday‑through‑Friday schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with local market variations as needed. • Complete tasks such as painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work, and general upkeep. • Maintain the CMMS work order system daily and address tenant service requests. • Perform preventive maintenance and inspection activities on building systems. • Support on‑call or emergency response situations when required. • Troubleshoot building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls. • Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical and safety training. • Carry out additional projects and tasks assigned by management.
