About the Role
The role ensures the department has the technical service capability to support complex engineering and service commitments, assisting the Services Manager with coaching, mentoring, and leadership in customer interactions. While not a direct manager, the individual provides guidance to field associates and helps meet advanced technical requirements. • Mentor and support field service reps with technical advice. • Report to the Field Service Manager and advise on technical service matters. • Manage key customer accounts. • Perform service and support work following and extending standard procedures. • Provide pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support: commissioning, installation, testing, and maintenance. • Develop innovative solutions for complex start‑up problems. • Research and recommend product upgrades to meet customer needs. • Monitor and resolve recurring complex issues to ensure customer satisfaction. • Coach less‑experienced engineers, review work quality, and assist problem solving. • Generate leads for service support. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems during start‑up. • Train customers on equipment features. • Work independently with general direction and exercise independent judgment. • Apply strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills. • Handle multiple tasks, stand/walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lb. • Work with assigned local mentor for on‑the‑job coaching. • Utilize company‑provided vehicles, tools, uniforms, mobile devices, and laptops.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate strong leadership and coaching abilities for field teams. • Exhibit excellent customer engagement and communication skills. • Possess advanced knowledge of electronic/electrical theory; HVAC knowledge preferred. • Interpret technical documents, regulations, and procedures accurately. • Proficient with PC tools: email, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics. • Hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to customer sites. • Minimum 7 years experience as a shop/field electrical technician; 1 year leadership experience preferred. • Hold at least a two‑year degree or technical certification in an electrical‑related program. • Possess relevant certifications and hands‑on experience with critical systems (switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, etc.) and familiarity with ANSI/IEEE standards.

This is a site‑based position with occasional nonstandard hours, a 40‑hour guarantee plus overtime, and most work performed at customer sites. New hires experience an eight‑week, fully paid, in‑person training program at Schneider’s state‑of‑the‑art facility in Dallas, Texas, followed by online training and a local mentor for on‑the‑job support.
