About the Role

The Senior Cost Manager II prepares cost estimates for projects of all sizes, from conceptual design through construction documents, procurement, and construction administration. The role also supports the Associate Director in supervising the Cost & Commercial Management team and develops business‑development capabilities. Key duties include reviewing project documents to produce accurate scope estimates, nurturing relationships with subcontractors, vendors and clients, leading client accounts, and participating in contract negotiations. The manager performs continuous cost management, evaluates change orders, administers contracts, prepares subcontractor analysis sheets, mentors associate‑level staff, and contributes reports to senior management. • Estimate project costs from concept to construction administration phases. • Review and interpret project documents to define scope accurately. • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients. • Lead client accounts and support contract negotiations. • Perform continuous cost management and analyze change order estimates. • Prepare subcontractor analysis sheets and manage contract administration. • Mentor associate‑level cost and commercial managers. • Deliver reports and information to senior management as needed. • Apply strong research, analytical, and construction‑law knowledge to project decisions. • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Bring

Success in this role requires strong research and analytical skills, the ability to interpret detailed or poorly defined information, and a deep understanding of construction technology, economics, delivery methods, tax, insurance, and construction law. Candidates must communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, multitask in a fast‑paced environment, and hold a professional qualification such as MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP or equivalent. Applicants should have a BS degree in Construction, Cost Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, and 5–8 years of cost‑management or quantity‑surveying experience with professional accreditation. The salary range for this full‑time position is $120,200–$160,267, plus a comprehensive benefits package. • Hold a professional accreditation (MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE, etc.). • Possess 5–8 years of cost‑management or quantity‑surveying experience.
