About the Role

Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on transfer routes. The driver must operate the vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining a clean and safe truck. They conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report, report any unsafe situations, incidents, or service calls, and participate in all required training, briefings, and meetings. The role includes collaborating with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies, assisting other drivers as directed, and notifying managers of any accidents, injuries, or property damage. Drivers also communicate customer requests, dump containers while leaving the site clean, submit tickets for excess yardage, position containers properly, and complete all required documentation at the end of each route. • Operate the vehicle in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all applicable regulations. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report and report issues. • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service needs to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Participate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Assist other drivers as directed and follow assigned route schedules. • Properly dump containers, clean the site, and position containers upright with lids secured. • Complete and submit customer tickets for excess yardage removal. • Accurately document route completion and check‑in at the end of each shift.
