About the Role

The Air Separation (ASU) Plant Manager in Blytheville, AR will oversee all site operations – from safety and staff management to quality control, equipment maintenance, and budget stewardship – with 24/7/365 responsibility and after‑hours support from regional plants. • Promote a safe work environment and lead by example • Lead and manage plant staff, including training, development, and performance • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations • Foster relationships with UIG teammates, other Nucor teams, and customers • Oversee daily operations to meet production goals and optimize efficiency • Manage maintenance schedules and ensure equipment reliability • Manage the plant’s operating budget • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings at least five years of experience in industrial gas or chemical plant operations, including supervisory experience in an ASU environment, strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid understanding of safety regulations, operational best practices, and the software systems used in such plants. Familiarity with instrumentation, electrical, and control systems is also required. • 5+ years experience in industrial gas or chemical plant operations, including ASU supervisory experience • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills • Knowledge of safety regulations and operational best practices • Experience with software systems used at an ASU • General understanding and experience with instrumentation, electrical, and control systems • 10+ years experience in industrial gas or chemical plant operations • Experience with tools and equipment for repairing and replacing mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot, diagnose, and solve process and plant equipment issues • Understanding of general accounting techniques
