About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle meets the company's safety standards before operation, adhering to all company, state, and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects promptly. Drivers perform thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls. They follow route sheets, operate manual or automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at designated facilities, and interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. Unsatisfactory containers are identified and tagged, spills are cleaned according to safety policies, and the vehicle is kept clean and operational to minimize downtime. Required reports such as route productivity sheets and VCRs are completed, and drivers meet productivity standards while following all safety policies and participating in the ReSOP program.
