About the Role
Core duties involve interpreting electrical, control, and mechanical drawings, installing and commissioning refrigeration and HVAC components, performing system start‑ups, leak testing, refrigerant charging, and routine maintenance. Technicians also troubleshoot and repair a range of heating, cooling, and PLC‑based custom control systems, often working independently while adhering to standard procedures. • Work in a collaborative, safety‑focused team adhering to Zero Harm policy • Interpret electrical, control, and mechanical blueprints and specifications • Install, assemble, and commission refrigeration and air‑conditioning components • Perform system start‑up, leak testing, refrigerant charging, and routine maintenance • Troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, and PLC‑based custom control systems • Communicate technical issues to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders • Operate independently while following standard procedures and making method adjustments as needed

What You Bring
The ideal engineering technician brings deep knowledge of large‑scale mechanical and infrastructure systems, especially in high‑density computer farms, and can translate that expertise into solutions for mission‑critical facilities. The role balances field interaction with customers and collaboration with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to continuously improve products and services. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license, high‑school diploma or GED, and possess practical knowledge of cooling equipment, electrical controls, safety codes, and customer service. Additional requirements include the ability to read schematics, maintain records, lift up to 40 lb, and travel to domestic and international sites; a passport and US citizenship are required for DOD background checks. Preferred qualifications are certifications such as a registered refrigeration/HVAC technician, controls technician, or electrician journeyman. • Must have valid driver’s license, high‑school diploma/GED, and ability to lift 40 lb • Knowledge of cooling/refrigeration equipment, electrical controls, safety codes, and building standards • Experience with start‑up and commissioning at customer facilities; ability to read schematics and maintain reports • Preferred: Registered refrigeration/HVAC technician, controls technician, or electrician journeyman certification • Required travel to field sites (domestic and international); must possess valid passport and US citizenship for DOD background check • Adherence to PPE requirements and company uniform; safety‑sensitive position
