About the Role
Shape the future of Brisbane’s motorway and tunnel network as a Project Engineer in our Additional Services Team (Transurban). This role offers the chance to apply engineering, project management and stakeholder skills to maintain and enhance Queensland’s key road and tunnel assets. In the role you will plan, deliver and report on a wide range of additional works and major repairs, ensuring safety, quality, time and cost standards are met. Working within an established IR&M team, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, subcontractors and Transurban to achieve outstanding outcomes. • Plan, tender and deliver additional civil, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC works. • Manage project performance including cost, schedule, risk, SHEQ and stakeholder reporting. • Prepare RFQs, develop proposals and ensure governance compliance. • Lead subcontractor engagement, overseeing permits, standards and traffic management. • Monitor project controls, maintain AMIS and Smartsheets records, and submit monthly claims. • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and future work. • Build strong relationships with Transurban, subcontractors and Ventia multidisciplinary teams.

What You Bring
• Experience delivering transport infrastructure, road or tunnel maintenance projects. • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project/Business Management or related field. • Strong knowledge of estimating, project controls, cost management and AS2124 contracts. • Proven safety leadership and ability to manage SHEQ requirements on site. • Excellent communication, reporting and stakeholder management abilities. • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications. • Commercial acumen with KPI delivery and project‑level P&L management. • Availability for on‑call roster to support urgent operational needs.
