Job Highlights
About the Role
• Lead safety culture, mentor staff, and investigate incidents to maintain an injury‑free environment. • Manage the JE Dunn pre‑start process and coordinate preconstruction activities such as quantity take‑off, trade coordination, scope development, and bid package creation. • Oversee buy‑out scheduling, verify pricing, conduct gap analysis, select bidders, and issue subcontracts. • Control submittal schedules, review and approve shop drawings and samples, and ensure timely distribution to subcontractors and the project team. • Coordinate material and equipment pricing with Logistics and collaborate with risk management for subcontractor bonding and ongoing risk analysis. • Facilitate communication among subcontractors, owners, field crews, design teams, and vendors throughout the project. • Manage change requests, gather subcontractor pricing, and obtain owner/architect approvals. • Lead regular meetings including monthly project reviews, progress meetings, and Owner‑Architect Committee sessions. • Process monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications. • Develop and maintain project schedules with the superintendent, applying Lean principles and adjusting for scope, weather, manpower, or change impacts. • Document decisions affecting budget, schedule, legal, quality, and safety, and provide regular project status and profitability reporting. • Prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts, compare actuals to the budget, and highlight discrepancies to improve financial performance. • Direct project closeout activities using best‑practice tools such as punch lists, final financials, warranties, and subcontractor closeout documentation. • Interface with regional or company legal counsel as needed. • Apply construction management fundamentals, Lean processes, and budgeting techniques to maximize profitability and generate future work. • Build and sustain collaborative relationships with internal and external team members.

What You Bring
• Perform work accurately, completely, and on time while communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. • Deliver presentations and maintain proficiency in MS Office, advanced project management, accounting, construction technology, and scheduling software. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Possess at least 5 years of construction management experience.
