About the Role

The HR Business Partner joins CoStar’s Human Resources team in San Francisco, working onsite Monday through Friday. This role partners with functional leaders and HR stakeholders to maximize effectiveness, support and advise on HR initiatives, and align talent strategies with business objectives. • Provide consultative, proactive support to employees and managers on employee matters. • Coach managers to enhance their effectiveness and development. • Address performance issues, counsel managers on corrective actions, and approve related documents. • Participate in recurring HR processes such as bonus programs, promotions, performance reviews, and engagement surveys. • Co‑facilitate training on employee development, coaching, and management topics. • Assist in developing, recommending, and implementing HR policies and procedures. • Evaluate change impacts on employees and HR systems; partner with HR centers of excellence to ensure execution. • Work with HRIS team to create/maintain HR structures and improve processes. • Analyze HR data to generate insights and actionable recommendations. • Collaborate with business leaders to design organizational structures, job roles, and talent management processes. • Provide occasional onsite HR support for West Coast offices, requiring travel. • Support various manager and individual contributor roles.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, non‑profit college or university. • Minimum five years of HR Generalist/HR Business Partner experience. • Experience with California leave administration and strong knowledge of federal, state, and local California employment laws. • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal client groups. • Strong communication, persuasion, and confidentiality skills. • Effective prioritization, organization, and time‑management; self‑directed and collaborative. • Demonstrated problem‑solving and active‑listening abilities. • Experience with Workday (desired).
