About the Role
The Maintenance Technician A works under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. The role includes work on chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems. Employees enjoy working on a single fleet of advanced vehicles, receive training on new technologies, and have a stable regular shift with competitive wages. Key duties involve performing complex repairs both on‑site and on the road, including chassis component maintenance, servicing hydraulic and electrical systems in refuse bodies, and diagnosing air and hydraulic brake issues. Technicians also handle engine overhauls, suspension and drivetrain repairs, HVAC servicing, and line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. What You Bring
Candidates must have at least three years of experience as a heavy‑duty truck technician and be capable of inspecting and repairing systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions with limited supervision. ASE Heavy Truck certifications (T1‑T8) are advantageous, while LNG/CNG experience and a Class B or higher commercial driver’s license are considered pluses. A valid driver’s license is required; those holding a CDL or TX DOT Inspection Certification receive an additional $2.00 shift differential for the second‑shift, which starts at 4 p.m. • Minimum three years’ experience as a heavy‑duty truck technician • ASE Heavy Truck certifications (T1‑T8) preferred • LNG/CNG experience considered a plus • Class B or higher commercial driver’s license preferred • Valid driver’s license; CDL or TX DOT Inspection Certification qualifies for $2.00 shift differential
