Job Highlights
About the Role
The Aerothermal Engineer role in India supports key programme milestones aligned with the Defence Combat strategy. You will design innovative, high‑performance aerothermal solutions for fans, compressors and turbines, balancing product attributes to meet customer needs while working closely with mechanical design teams to specify gas‑washed surfaces and system performance levels. Key responsibilities include defining gas‑path aerothermal requirements, developing concept designs and evaluating them with analytical methods, and integrating these systems across the organisation. You will also perform verification and validation activities to ensure compliance and identify opportunities to improve tools, methods and processes. • Define and capture gas‑path aerothermal requirements. • Develop and evaluate concept designs using analytical methods. • Integrate aerothermal systems with adjacent engineering domains. • Conduct verification and validation to ensure requirement compliance. • Identify and implement improvements to tools, methods and processes. • Execute complex CFD flow solutions (reacting and non‑reacting) using tools such as ANSYS Fluent, Star‑CCM+, OpenFOAM.
