About the Role

You will perform third‑party inspections of building, electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire‑safety systems and prepare daily time and field reports in accordance with ECS policy. The position requires extensive knowledge of state and local code regulations, policies, and procedures, and involves managing code‑compliance projects—reviewing plans, providing technical support, monitoring performance and budget, preparing proposals, and attending site meetings. Mentoring and training of other building inspectors is expected, as well as assisting with P&L management, client interaction, marketing, and business development for code‑inspection services. • Conduct third‑party building, electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire‑safety inspections. • Prepare and submit daily time and field inspection reports per ECS policy. • Manage code‑compliance projects: review plans, provide technical support, monitor performance and budget, prepare proposals, and attend site meetings. • Mentor and train junior building inspectors. • Assist with P&L management, client interaction, marketing, and business development for code inspection services. • Lead high‑profile, technically complex projects with visibility. • Contribute to a collaborative, expertise‑focused work environment.

What You Bring

ECS is seeking a Code Compliance Project Manager to join the Mid‑Atlantic Facilities team in Charlottesville, VA. In this role you will lead a wide range of inspection and plan‑review projects while ensuring alignment with state and local building codes. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems and strong project‑management capabilities. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least five years of experience in code‑compliance inspection or plan review of building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems. At least one valid ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I or II) is required, and a valid driver’s license is needed for any driving performed on behalf of an ECS subsidiary. • Apply extensive knowledge of state and local building codes, policies, and procedures. • Hold a high school diploma/GED and minimum 5 years of code‑compliance inspection or plan review experience. • Maintain at least one valid ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2, Fire Inspector I/II). • Possess a valid driver’s license when driving for ECS subsidiaries.
