About the Role

The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. Responsibilities include replacing malfunctioning components, performing basic care such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotation, and test‑driving vehicles to verify proper operation. Technicians must maintain working knowledge of vehicle systems and perform preventive and corrective maintenance both on‑site and on the road. They diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools and repair engines, chassis, suspension, drivetrain, steering, heating, cooling, and perform welding and fabrication as needed. They also replace fuses for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and provide safe road service to return equipment to operation.

What You Bring

Qualifications include the ability to inspect heavy trucks and automotive systems, understand work‑order labor standards, and possess basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems. Candidates should be familiar with tools, have manual dexterity, problem‑solving skills, and knowledge of maintenance for Class 1‑5 light/medium duty and Class 7‑8 heavy‑duty trucks. Preferred certifications are Automotive Service Technician 310S or Truck and Coach 310T; a valid driver’s license is required.
