About the Role
The SME advises Product Management, Engineering, and Design on new initiatives to align with real‑world jobsite workflows, industry standards, and customer needs. They provide structured feedback during alpha and beta testing, test AI use cases for accuracy and bias mitigation, and influence roadmap development through field insights and competitive analysis. Customer engagement responsibilities include acting as a product ambassador at industry events, supporting sales with roadmap presentations, facilitating Product Advisory Groups, and capturing feedback, pain points, and emerging trends for Product Management. The SME also partners with Marketing to support webinars, thought‑leadership initiatives, social media, and community engagement while ensuring technical accuracy of industry‑facing content. • Advise Product Management, Engineering, and Design on initiatives to align with customer workflows and industry standards. • Provide structured feedback during alpha and beta testing and validate AI use cases for accuracy, relevance, and bias mitigation. • Act as product ambassador at industry events, partner engagements, and internal training sessions. • Support Sales with product roadmap presentations and facilitate Product Advisory Groups, including agenda development and insight synthesis. • Collaborate with Marketing on webinars, social media, community engagement, and validate technical accuracy of content.

What You Bring
In partnership with Autodesk R&D, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) bring deep construction domain expertise and hands‑on product knowledge to support product development, accelerate customer adoption, and validate new capabilities, including AI‑driven innovations. This role ensures the voice of the customer is consistently reflected in the product roadmap and serves as an outward‑facing advocate alongside Product Management. The position is open to remote candidates based in the United States. Minimum qualifications require at least ten years of experience in civil infrastructure and heavy highway projects, with the ability to translate field knowledge into product insights. Candidates should possess strong presentation and communication skills, a results‑driven track record, high analytical ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities. International experience in EMEA or APAC is a plus, and willingness to travel monthly is required. • Minimum 10+ years experience in civil infrastructure and heavy highway projects, with ability to translate construction needs into product insights. • Strong presentation, communication, and analytical skills; able to manage multiple priorities effectively. • Willingness to travel monthly; international experience in EMEA or APAC considered a plus.
