The Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice role blends classroom learning, laboratory work and on‑the‑job training to develop skills in installing, altering, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electronic, mechanical, control and robotics equipment in a complex fulfillment/distribution center. Apprentices follow health and safety policies while gaining hands‑on experience under the guidance of technical advisors. Training includes job shadowing, teamwork in school and on the shop floor, and working with technical documentation and computers. Apprentices also learn material‑transfer conveyor systems, PLC programming with Automation Engineers, and robotic system integration with Robotics Engineers and OEMs. JLL values wellbeing, inclusivity and belonging, and offers a collaborative culture that drives innovative solutions for clients, colleagues and communities. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, and this role does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. • Required: 18+ years old, high school diploma or GED, pass Mechanical Aptitude Test, basic computer skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets, internet), ability to travel for 12‑week training at one of three sites. • Preferred: 1+ year experience in preventive/predictive maintenance and repair of industrial machines, familiarity with mechanical/electrical components, experience with compressors and pneumatics. • Physical demands: repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting average 20 lb (up to 49 lb), standing/walking on concrete for long shifts, work in tight spaces, exposure to dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, heights, and moving bulky equipment.
