About the Role

The Stormwater EIT/Coordinator will support project engineers by applying design engineering and modeling techniques to water‑resource projects for federal, state, and local municipalities, concentrating on hydraulics, hydrology, and stormwater collection system analysis across flood control, restoration, and watershed initiatives. • Support project engineers with design engineering and modeling for water‑resource projects. • Conduct hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater system analysis, data collection, and presentations. • Contribute to flood control, river design, dike and levee systems, stream restoration, wetland and lake restoration, and watershed management projects. • Produce design calculations, draft technical reports, and perform water‑resources studies.

What You Bring

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD‑type CAD platforms, and hydraulic modeling software. Candidates must be self‑motivated, capable of independent and team work, and committed to actively participating in HDR’s employee‑owned culture; the Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred, with non‑EIT hires placed in a Design Coordinator role and expected to obtain the EIT. • Preferred: Engineer in Training (EIT) certification; otherwise placed in Design Coordinator role with expectation to obtain EIT. • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field. • Required: Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (or similar CAD), and hydraulic modeling software. • Required: Self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively to complete tasks.
