The company is seeking a Privacy Specialist to join a collaborative, cross‑functional team that brings these offerings to market for education customers while protecting educator and student data. Candidates must have at least four years of experience in privacy, data protection, or program management, with knowledge of regulations such as FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and PIPEDA. Preferred qualifications include direct experience with education customers, familiarity with LMS systems, and certifications like CIPP or CISSP, along with a relevant bachelor's degree. The ideal candidate understands the operational realities of schools and universities, translates regulation into practical controls, and partners effectively across product, platform, legal, and trust teams. They also grasp technical privacy implications of modern AI/ML pipelines and can build repeatable processes, clear runbooks, and meaningful metrics to measure program health. • 4+ years experience in privacy, data protection, or related program management with project ownership. • Knowledge of FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, and regional student data protection regulations. • Familiarity with platform artifacts: APIs, SDKs, LMS integrations (LTI/SCORM), data flows, and vendor ecosystems. • Practical understanding of privacy considerations for AI/ML, including data governance and model ethics. • Strong program and project management skills to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage timelines. • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical/privacy topics for stakeholders. • Preferred: experience with education customers, edtech products, and knowledge of LMS systems and data standards. • Preferred: implementing data subject request workflows at scale for minors and parental/guardian consent. • Certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CISSP or equivalent privacy/security certifications. • Bachelor’s degree in privacy, law, computer science, education technology, or related field.
