About the Role
The building cleaning worker is responsible for maintaining clean and orderly conditions in commercial or institutional properties, covering a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks across various areas of the facility. Typical duties include general cleaning of office spaces, restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other common areas, as well as floor care, rug and carpet maintenance, minor repairs, and seasonal tasks such as landscaping and snow removal. • Clean offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. • Mop floors (wet or dry), shampoo rugs, wash walls and glass, remove rubbish, pressure wash, and eliminate gum and graffiti. • Perform minor repairs, painting, carpentry, replenish bathroom supplies, landscaping, and snow removal. • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies; dust furniture and equipment. • Replace light bulbs and transport small equipment or tools between departments. • Set up tables and chairs in auditoriums, meeting rooms, or halls.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and less than one year of prior experience in a similar setting.
