Construction Materials Internship (Level 1)
Assist in field testing and documentation of construction materials on job sites
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Observe and document field activities related to the construction process. • Sample, test, and inspect soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement. • Perform calculations and data reduction of test results and draft reports. • Use field screening equipment and document readings. • Read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans. • Interact and communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers. • Gain confidence to be the sole representative of ECS on project sites. • Provide suitable transportation for use on job sites (mileage reimbursed).

What You Bring
• Actively pursue a Bachelor or Master degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. • Carry 40–70 lb multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lb to waist height.
