About the Role

In this position you will oversee the assembly of new products and the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of customer‑owned engines, collaborating with teams to prioritize safety and operational efficiency while applying strong mechanical knowledge. You will support various engine applications, conduct inspections and cleaning, utilise specialised tools and measurement equipment, maintain accurate documentation, and sustain a clean, organised shop‑floor environment. • Perform maintenance and repair on series 1600 and 4000 engine applications according to manuals. • Assist in assembly and preparation of 199 and 2000 engine applications. • Troubleshoot and diagnose engine and component issues using technical knowledge. • Conduct engine and component inspections, cleaning, and complete required documentation. • Identify and implement cost‑reduction and efficiency improvements with the lean team. • Operate plant machinery to manoeuvre products and materials safely. • Maintain a monthly utilisation rate of 85% or higher. • Manage ticket recording of material and labour hours, prioritising C4S tickets before dispatch. • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold shop‑floor cleanliness.

What You Bring

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance/Engineering, solid troubleshooting abilities, teamwork and accountability, and proficiency with both Windows and iOS computer systems. Fluent English, a clean UK driving licence and preferably forklift or crane experience are advantageous; training will be provided for relevant software, and the physically demanding job supports the Power Systems division’s mission to deliver advanced power solutions. • Hold NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance/Engineering or an equivalent qualification. • Demonstrate basic troubleshooting and diagnostic methods with strong mechanical expertise. • Exhibit strong teamwork, accountability, and organisational skills. • Be computer literate with proficient keyboard skills on Windows and iOS platforms. • Possess fluent written and spoken English and a full clean UK driving licence. • Preferably experienced in forklift, tow‑truck, or crane operation (training provided).
