About the Role
• Perform survey work under guidance of the Senior Highway Surveyor. • Establish primary horizontal and vertical control points, including reference ties. • Record measurements, rod readings, and calculations accurately in field books. • Coordinate with the Contractor’s surveyor on work priorities and schedules. • Complete traverse closures and bench circuits to verify work. • Report discrepancies or technical problems to the Assistant Resident Engineer. • Conduct joint measurements of completed work for payment purposes. • Maintain and regularly calibrate survey equipment. • Assist the Assistant Resident Engineer in preparing contract‑compliant correspondence. • Collaborate with the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer to resolve site issues promptly. • Keep records of material tests and executed works. • Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor‑submitted plans.

What You Bring
AECOM is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor for a major infrastructure project in Bahrain. The role involves performing survey work under the Senior Highway Surveyor’s direction, establishing control points, recording data accurately, and coordinating with the contractor’s surveyor. The candidate must have strong construction supervision experience on expressways, interchanges, and intersections, and will be responsible for equipment maintenance, reporting, and ensuring compliance with contract documents. • Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field. • Minimum 10 years’ experience in infrastructure projects, focusing on construction or supervision. • Strong construction supervision experience on expressway projects. • Extensive experience constructing interchanges and intersections. • Proficiency with modern survey software and equipment. • Experience in bridge structures, earthworks, and road works. • Familiarity with civil‑engineering infrastructure projects. • High‑level critical thinking and numerical skills. • Strong English communication abilities. • Ability to use computer technology for data access, record maintenance, and report generation. • Preferred Middle East project experience.
