About the Role
The role is based in Christchurch and involves leading the planning, coordination and on‑site delivery of temporary traffic management across road environments, ensuring projects meet world‑class standards. • Oversee worksite operations: vehicle/equipment checks, crew briefings, site inductions, TMP validation, installation and removal of traffic management setups, and documentation • Implement contingency plans and ensure HSE procedures are followed • Train and upskill Traffic Controllers and new STMS trainees • Ensure safety of Downer crew, subcontractors, and the public • Act as primary on‑site TTM contact for stakeholders

What You Bring
Candidates should be physically fit, possess the necessary licences and certifications, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and leadership. • Hold a full Class 1 & 2 driver’s licence and a valid STMS warrant (A/B) • First Aid certification (highly desirable) and TTM Unit Standards 31958‑31963 • Extensive experience in temporary traffic management and site leadership • Strong communication and leadership abilities • Flexibility to work shift work and adapt to changing conditions
