ILS Support Officer
Support ILS for Defence space projects, handling documentation, stakeholder engagement.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Contribute to CASG ACAT 1 projects, supporting large‑scale Defence acquisition and sustainment programmes. • Lead industry engagement including RFIs and manage government processes such as Investment Committee submissions and gate reviews. • Prepare and review Gate 1 and Gate 2 artefacts (Cabinet submissions, Project Execution Strategies, Capability Definition Documents, etc.). • Assist the ILS Manager with ILSC/ILSP development, revisit Fundamental Inputs to Capability requirements, and help draft support contracts. • Facilitate workshops with Configuration Management teams and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. • Work on critical Defence projects that protect Australia’s future.

What You Bring
You bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality outcomes for our clients. • Proven experience on CASG ACAT 1 Defence acquisition programmes. • Strong capability to develop industry approaches (RFIs) and navigate government processes, including Investment Committee submissions. • Experience preparing and reviewing Gate 1/Gate 2 documentation such as Cabinet submissions and Capability Definition Documents. • Ability to support ILS managers with ILSC/ILSP development and update Fundamental Inputs to Capability. • Excellent facilitation skills for Configuration Management workshops; space domain knowledge is advantageous. • Current Negative Vetting 1 (or higher) security clearance; ITAR compliance may be required. • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.
