About the Role

What You Bring
Schneider Electric has a hybrid (2–3 days per week onsite) Senior Legal Counsel opportunity for candidates with at least five years of commercial contracting experience, based in one of the following hub locations: Boston, MA; Nashville, TN; Raleigh, NC; or Chicago, IL. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to various business units, providing legal oversight and leading the negotiation of complex equipment, software, and service agreements. The ideal candidate holds a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar admission in at least one state, with five or more years' experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial equipment and service agreements, preferably in an in‑house setting. Experience with government contracting or regulatory engagement is a plus, as is the ability to translate intricate legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for global teams. Successful candidates are proactive, solution‑oriented negotiators with strong attention to detail, business acumen, curiosity for continuous learning, and comfort leveraging legal technology while managing multiple high‑priority projects.

Benefits
For this U.S.-based position, the expected compensation range is $142,400‑$213,600 per year, which includes base pay and a short‑term incentive. The range applies to full‑time candidates located within the United States and is set by comparing roles of similar responsibility and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
