About the Role

Based in our Newcastle office, the role delivers CDM and health & safety consultancy services to existing and new clients. The position adapts its scope to client requirements, covering both CDM and H&S management, and is responsible for understanding client needs, proactively identifying solutions, and ensuring consistent service excellence. The role may include SOX control responsibilities where applicable, and all recruitment processes comply with Turner & Townsend policy prohibiting any candidate fees. • Develop and improve existing CDM and H&S systems and processes for greater efficiency. • Provide expert advice, act as Principal Designer when required, and help clients meet legal responsibilities under CDM regulations. • Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and new clients to become a trusted advisor. • Represent Turner & Townsend professionally in meetings, negotiations, and correspondence with clients. • Manage commissions to ensure client expectations, scope of service, and business management system requirements are met. • Conduct H&S performance reviews, audits, and related activities on behalf of the client. • Liaise proactively with SHQ and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to support team effectiveness, consistency, quality, and profitability of shared projects. • Compile and create pre‑construction information and relevant H&S files.

What You Bring

• Understand client needs and proactively identify solutions while delivering service excellence. • NEBOSH Construction Certificate. • Full UK driving licence. • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). • GradIOSH (or equivalent) and membership of the APS. • Experience as a Principal Designer. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines. • Extensive construction industry knowledge, especially CDM Regulations. • Experience across a diverse range of sectors and proven ability to meet client needs (advantageous).
