Senior Civil Engineer - Water Infrastructure

Job Highlights
About the Role
• Plan, program and coordinate projects with the Project Manager to meet budget, schedule, and quality targets. • Lead or support civil engineering design and project management across feasibility, detailed design, and construction phases for water and wastewater infrastructure. • Produce engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory or funding applications. • Develop conceptual to detailed designs using calculations, sketches, models, and prepare documentation such as site plans, utility profiles, grading plans, and submittal reviews. • Prepare portions of project proposals, change orders, and client communications. • Coordinate technical activities across disciplines and act as liaison between senior engineer and design team. • Ensure technical outputs are safe, meet scope, and pass independent quality review. • Participate in Stantec information‑sharing networks and knowledge forums. • Support business development by contributing to proposal and bid material. • Connecting employees through the Developing Professionals Group.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent). • Chartered status or working towards chartership (highly regarded). • 6+ years’ consulting or engineering experience. • Prior water industry experience (highly regarded). • Proven design experience in water and wastewater projects. • Strong technical expertise in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage, and recycled water networks. • Experience with water/wastewater treatment plants for regional/urban authorities (desirable). • Ability to engage with diverse clients and stakeholders, including government and commercial entities.
