About the Role

In this senior role you will lead the pursuit, win, and execution of healthcare projects such as inpatient hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health facilities, and medical office buildings, while overseeing the regional healthcare team, developing business plans, and reporting to regional and practice area leadership. • Oversee and expand regional healthcare staff while ensuring client satisfaction. • Generate new revenue and grow existing streams within the healthcare market. • Develop and maintain a network of owners, architects, PM/CM firms, and contractors. • Track leads, forecast project pipeline, and devise winning strategies and teams. • Keep the team updated on regional and national market trends and technical advancements. • Facilitate information sharing across global teams for staffing and pursuits. • Ensure technical excellence in project delivery and resolve issues expertly. • Coordinate regional practice area business plan with global healthcare strategy. • Align goals with global team to execute business plan. • Create strategies to acquire new high‑margin clients and increase national sales. • Oversee project financials and reporting to interoffice and clients. • Achieve revenue generation of $1‑3 million annually over two years. • Lead or support integrated services sales presentations. • Guide team and partners to deliver exceptional projects. • Author articles, white papers and present at industry events. • Recruit senior staff with market‑specific experience and lead new hires.

What You Bring

Syska Hennessy Group, a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services for highly technical buildings, is seeking a performance‑driven leader to join its science and technology team in Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco, with travel required. • Understand design/build proposals and contracts. • Articulate firm’s value proposition to differentiate in the market. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required. • 15+ years of life‑science design experience, including ≥5 years in consulting/A‑E firm. • Minimum 7 years of management experience. • 5+ years developing engineering business. • In‑depth knowledge of MEP systems. • Strong relationship‑building, communication, and self‑motivation skills. • Ability to work independently and within teams in a fast‑paced environment. • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities.
