About the Role
The Life Safety Systems Sales Executive role supports the company's growth by promoting and selling fire safety and fire alarm systems to contractors and end‑users within an assigned territory. The position requires developing relationships, creating sales strategies, and achieving quota while maintaining existing accounts. • Represent Johnson Controls to promote and sell fire safety/fire alarm systems to general and electrical contractors and end users. • Establish contact with prospects, qualify commercial construction buyers, and schedule sales calls using Johnson Controls marketing strategies. • Develop and execute a sales strategy that educates customers on product offerings, prioritizes opportunities, and maintains territory records. • Conduct seminars, demonstrations, and presentations to generate and qualify leads. • Create financial justifications, prepare proposals, and perform follow‑up to close sales. • Achieve sales targets and deliver results against an assigned quota. • Maintain and grow existing accounts through regular customer contact and follow‑up. • Report progress and key metrics to operations and corporate teams on a weekly and monthly basis. • Participate in trade shows, product demonstrations, and other events to increase sales and enhance company image.

What You Bring
• Minimum 4 years of sales experience in complex fire alarm systems with a proven success record. • At least 3 years of construction sales experience and experience selling fire‑alarm specific projects. • Strong self‑motivation, discipline, and interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication. • Ability to quickly identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities and obtain required licenses. • Preferred experience with Simplex systems and a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, engineering, or equivalent work experience. • Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams; proficiency with Microsoft and Oracle applications.
