About the Role

The Energy team is expanding its digital capabilities across transmission & distribution, renewables, nuclear decommissioning and research & development. The Senior Information Management role will support the central Digital Energy Team or one of the three practice areas, delivering digital transformation on programmes such as the National Grid Great Grid Upgrade. Candidates will act as senior project information managers or BIM project managers, shaping information management frameworks and BIM delivery at scale. • Develop and manage ISO 19650 documentation suite (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP). • Configure and manage Common Data Environment (CDE) systems for proper information exchange. • Support Information Managers in CDE configuration and alignment with exchange processes. • Ensure adoption and compliant use of project CDE across all elements. • Define BIM Execution Plans and coordinate with GIS/BIM specialists to meet EIR requirements. • Manage Master Information Delivery Plans in line with framework requirements. • Assess delivery team capacity and capability for information delivery. • Oversee information delivery assurance against agreed acceptance criteria. • Implement BIM and digital delivery processes, including 3D/4D/5D integration. • Lead assessment and implementation of digital tools for Modern Methods of Construction. • Verify BIM/digital delivery capabilities for engineering, consenting, and construction phases. • Define and implement digital integration of data, systems, and processes. • Participate in development and customization of software tools, including CAD‑GIS integration. • Support integration of digital design technologies and automated design workflows. • Assess and implement immersive visualization, reality capture, and VR/AR technologies. • Provide technical support for BIM software and 3D graphics applications. • Establish training programmes and communication materials to ensure consistent delivery standards. • Identify and develop new business opportunities in digital information management and BIM services. • Lead proposal development for digital delivery components of major infrastructure bids. • Drive innovation initiatives and R&D activities to maintain AECOM's competitive advantage.

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have extensive experience in information management on major infrastructure programmes, a degree in engineering, architecture or a related field, and proven expertise implementing ISO 19650 standards and Common Data Environment platforms. Advanced knowledge of BIM, GIS integration, 4D/5D workflows, COBie, IFC and digital engineering tools is required, together with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage senior stakeholders. The role requires the ability to obtain UK security clearance and welcomes applicants of all backgrounds, including those needing reasonable adjustments.
