About the Role
Your Impact will include delivering high‑quality survey support that strengthens design and construction outcomes across Alberta’s transportation network, applying rigorous quality management practices, and supporting construction supervision teams with grade files, stakeout, QA/QC and quantity generation. You will conduct topographic, utility and detail surveys using RTK GNSS, robotic total stations, scanners, drones and terrestrial scanning tools, and provide technical expertise to design teams through data collection, survey bases, legal composites and Civil 3D drafting. Additionally, you will produce drone mapping deliverables, establish control networks, perform quality reviews, and contribute to project planning by estimating scope and supporting client communication. • Deliver high‑quality survey support for design and construction projects. • Apply rigorous quality management to ensure accuracy, reliability and compliance. • Support construction supervision by producing grade files, performing stakeout and QA/QC, and generating quantities. • Conduct topographic, utility and detail surveys using RTK GNSS, robotic total stations, scanners, drones and terrestrial scanning tools. • Provide technical expertise to design teams through field data collection, survey bases, legal composites and Civil 3D drafting. • Produce drone mapping deliverables (LiDAR and photogrammetry) and manage processing workflows. • Establish and maintain control networks using GNSS and static GPS methodologies. • Perform quality reviews of work completed by staff and independent contractors. • Estimate survey scope and assist with client communication during project planning.

What You Bring

Field‑work positions require the ability to perform key physical tasks in a range of environmental conditions, including remote or inclement weather, within safe limits. • Hold a diploma in Surveying, Geomatics or Civil Technology with extensive hands‑on field experience. • Bring 5+ years of experience on highways, transportation or heavy civil projects. • Proficient with Trimble Business Center and Autodesk Civil 3D for data processing and field‑to‑finish workflows. • Demonstrate a mindset focused on accuracy, safety, collaboration and continuous improvement. • Ability to work outdoors in varied conditions and travel up to two weeks per assignment.
