About the Role
Key duties include providing technical expertise for plant safety, reliability, maintainability and availability; ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of engineering work with proper configuration management; diagnosing equipment and system issues; conducting independent research, reviews, and analyses; managing engineering tasks; recommending equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance and reduce costs; supporting design modifications, testing, and problem solving; and guaranteeing compliance with safety analyses, codes, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves supervising engineering personnel, managing budgets, and planning goals related to engineering activities. • Deliver advanced engineering solutions and make technical decisions for power plant projects. • Ensure plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability while meeting customer, regulatory, and corporate requirements. • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely engineering documentation with proper configuration management. • Diagnose and resolve equipment and system problems through expert consultation. • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical initiatives. • Lead task management of engineering issues and recommend equipment, concepts, or techniques to improve performance and reduce costs. • Support plant design modifications, testing, and problem‑solving activities. • Verify that all engineering deliverables comply with safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory standards. • Supervise engineering staff, manage budgets, and set planning goals for the engineering function.

What You Bring
The primary purpose of this position is to perform advanced engineering problem‑solving for power plants, make technical decisions, and apply superior functional‑discipline knowledge while adhering to industry codes and regulations. Minimum qualifications are a BS in Engineering and at least 10 years of professional experience with exceptional performance, subject to VP of Engineering approval. Preferred qualifications include a strong performance rating over the past two years, process‑engineering experience in the natural‑gas industry, rotating‑equipment expertise, recognition as a fleet or industry expert, a professional engineering license, and demonstrated leadership in site or corporate projects, outage management, issue resolution, or interdepartmental collaboration. • Minimum: BS in Engineering, 10+ years of outstanding professional experience; approval by VP Engineering required. • Preferred: recent strong performance rating, natural‑gas process‑engineering experience, rotating‑equipment expertise, recognized industry expert, professional engineer licensure, and leadership in outage/project management or interdepartmental initiatives.
