About the Role

The role provides technical leadership to a high‑performing finite element analysis (FEA) team, performing hand calculations and a wide range of analyses—including steady‑state and transient thermal, structural, and thermo‑mechanical studies. The engineer defines contacts, conducts nonlinear, vibration, and buckling analyses, and applies deep knowledge of high‑cycle and low‑cycle fatigue, creep, and fracture mechanics. They drive technical solutions, engage in internal and external reviews, author analysis and certification reports, ensure timely high‑quality deliveries for complex projects, and maintain a solution‑oriented mindset. • Provide technical leadership to a high‑performing FEA team. • Perform hand calculations leveraging strong engineering fundamentals. • Conduct steady‑state and transient thermal, structural, and thermo‑mechanical analysis. • Execute analytical calculations of bolted and welded constructions. • Define contacts and carry out nonlinear, vibration, and buckling analyses. • Apply thorough understanding of HCF, LCF, creep, and fracture mechanics. • Drive technical solutions and engage in reviews with internal and external customers. • Write analysis and certification reports. • Ensure timely, high‑quality deliveries for complex development projects. • Maintain a solution‑oriented mindset. • Perform static/dynamic, transient, linear and nonlinear thermal and thermo‑mechanical analysis of turbine components using Abaqus. • Conduct strength assessments according to ASME BPV Section VIII code. • Carry out low‑cycle fatigue, high‑cycle fatigue, and detailed fracture mechanics assessments of turbine components.

Key Responsibilities

  • technical leadership
  • fea modeling
  • thermal‑structural
  • nonlinear buckling
  • fatigue analysis
  • report writing

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 4‑8 years of FEA experience, preferably in the turbomachinery sector. Required expertise includes solid mechanics, finite element methods, product design of gas or steam turbines, and proficiency with Abaqus for static, dynamic, linear, and nonlinear thermal and thermo‑mechanical analysis of turbine components. Additional experience with ASME BPV Section VIII strength assessments, rotor dynamics, and fatigue and fracture‑mechanics evaluations is desirable. • Hold a graduate or postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 4‑8 years of FEA experience in turbomachinery. • Possess strong fundamentals in finite element methods and solid mechanics. • Have product design experience of turbomachinery such as gas or steam turbines. • Experience in rotor dynamics is an added advantage.
