About the Role
The Field Performance Technician manages and schedules all service and warranty work, operating both independently and as part of the Performance O&M team. This role collaborates closely with customers, the Branch Manager, Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and the centralized Field Service scheduling team. • Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule. • Allocate labor resources for service and warranty projects in coordination with the Electrical Foreman and Construction Supervisor. • Train and develop Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians. • Lead regular meetings to share best practices with the local field service team. • Support onboarding and training of new field performance team members. • Exceed KPI targets for turnaround time, experience rating, and dispatches completed. • Assist with inspections and site audits as assigned. • Adhere to safety policies, identify hazards, and promote safe work practices. • Apply logical decision‑making and troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly. • Perform rooftop tasks involving bending, climbing, crawling, and balancing on various surfaces. • Utilize PPE such as ladders, fall‑protection harnesses, and other safety equipment.

What You Bring
Candidates need 1‑3 years of field construction or solar experience, a high school diploma, and a clean driving record. Preference is given to those with PV design or electrical experience and a valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification where required. The position demands physical stamina: frequent lifting of up to 50 lb (100 lb with assistance), roof work on various angles, climbing ladders, and the ability to operate safely in extreme weather, confined spaces, and while using personal protective equipment. • Maintain a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license (must be 21+). • Possess or obtain a state or local Electrical Journeyman certification where required. • Demonstrate knowledge of NEC codes, single‑line drawings, and PV system interconnections. • Provide excellent customer service and clear verbal and written communication. • Exhibit strong organizational, time‑management, and computer skills. • Lift up to 50 lb regularly; up to 100 lb with assistance when needed. • Work safely in extreme temperatures, noise, humidity, and wet conditions.
