About the Role
In this role you will provide leadership on all aspects of regulatory strategy related to SPS revenue, cost recovery, and resource transition proceedings. You will direct the development and execution of regulatory case filings in each assigned jurisdiction and prepare supporting testimony as an expert policy witness. You will give strategic and executional direction to regulatory teams, ensuring timely and consistent rate cases across all jurisdictions, while overseeing schedules to guarantee coordinated submissions. Responsibilities include developing strategies that maximize cost recovery, establishing strong relationships with regulators and stakeholders, creating outreach programs, advising executive management on energy policy, and keeping internal teams informed of regulatory trends and financial impacts. • Lead regulatory strategy for SPS revenue, cost recovery, and resource transition proceedings. • Direct development and execution of regulatory case filings across assigned jurisdictions. • Oversee schedules to ensure timely, coordinated regulatory submissions. • Develop and implement strategies to maximize cost recovery and minimize leakage. • Establish and maintain relationships with regulators and key stakeholders. • Create and manage outreach programs supporting SPS revenue and cost recovery issues. • Advise executive management on energy policy and regulatory positions. • Communicate regulatory trends, financial impacts, and risks to internal stakeholders. • Collaborate with Policy, Finance, Legal, and subject‑matter teams to align filings with corporate goals. • Manage and mentor SPS regulatory staff to achieve objectives. • Foster a professional work environment that encourages team growth.

What You Bring
The position requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of ten years of experience in the regulatory field, with expert knowledge of utility regulation, rate‑case execution, and compliance practices. Strong financial acumen, experience managing multiple concurrent rate cases, and excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in regulatory and financial analytical modeling such as revenue requirement models, cost‑of‑service studies, and scenario analysis.
