About the Role

The Outside Sales Representative for Trench Safety will generate profitable business by developing an assigned territory, executing sales plans, and strengthening Sunbelt’s national brand identity. The role focuses on expanding the customer base, maintaining existing relationships, and delivering safety‑focused solutions. Key duties include creating and executing territory sales plans, prospecting through calls and visits, preparing proposals based on blueprints, and coordinating project specifications with internal teams to meet customer timelines. The representative also monitors competitor activity, maintains daily CRM updates, and collaborates with other OSRs to cross‑sell Sunbelt solutions. • Develop and execute territory sales plans to grow existing and new customers. • Prospect through phone calls, cold visits, and scheduled territory tours. • Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages by interpreting blueprints and consulting engineers. • Provide application solutions and promote Sunbelt’s safety‑training capabilities. • Coordinate project specifications with internal teams to meet customer timelines. • Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities within the territory. • Maintain daily CRM updates of sales calls, job site details, and lead information. • Collaborate with other OSRs to cross‑sell Sunbelt solutions and share leads. • Manage delinquent accounts, collect payments, and keep accurate customer records. • Achieve annual territory revenue and market‑growth KPIs.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, have at least two years of direct sales experience in equipment rental or shoring, and possess a proven solution‑selling track record. Strong project‑management, technical, and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment are required. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 2+ years of direct sales experience. • Demonstrate strong project‑management, problem‑solving, and technical presentation skills. • Possess a current valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and strong communication abilities. • Work independently in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to Sunbelt’s safety culture.

Benefits

Base pay ranges from $40,000 to $62,965, supplemented by a company vehicle, a robust commission plan, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
