About the Role

The mechanic will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and inspecting a wide range of mining, quarry, and plant equipment, including engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, transmission, brake, and drivetrain components. The role also involves completing work orders, maintaining maintenance records, and performing housekeeping and safety checks. • Perform heavy‑duty repairs and major maintenance on mining and quarry equipment. • Conduct routine scheduled maintenance on trucks and plant machinery. • Diagnose and troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, electrical, brake, transmission, and drivetrain issues. • Inspect machines for defects and record work order details. • Weld and fabricate components as needed. • Manage parts procurement, handling, storage, and cost control using parts catalogs. • Operate mobile equipment and company vehicles on job sites and public highways. • Maintain housekeeping standards and perform work area safety checks. • Provide coverage for weekend work and overtime when required. • Build effective relationships with coworkers and vendors. • Participate in a 401(k) plan with company contribution and match after one year.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least three years of experience servicing heavy equipment, a strong safety focus, and the ability to work with limited supervision. Skills required include welding and fabrication, equipment parts knowledge, operation of mobile equipment and company vehicles, and physical ability to lift 70 lb and work at heights up to 20 ft. • Work independently with limited supervision and schedule own tasks. • Lift up to 70 lb, stoop, push, kneel, twist, and work at heights of up to 20 ft in all weather conditions.
