Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

• Wear provided maintenance uniform and nametag at all times on property • Perform routine maintenance throughout the property, including painting and carpet/floor cleaning • Adjust HVAC systems and repair or replace air conditioning units • Maintain equipment and supply inventory; follow hotel procedures and coordinate orders with the General Manager • Repair or replace room furniture, fixtures, and equipment such as televisions and light fixtures • Perform regular preventative maintenance (PMs) • Smile, acknowledge, and greet guests in guest rooms or other hotel areas • Announce presence and enter guest rooms according to company standards • Respond to guests' requests for immediate repairs • Maintain indoor pool • Assist other employees with tasks such as collecting/delivering dirty linen and supporting housekeeping • Report lost‑and‑found items per hotel procedures • Meet all brand compliance standards and quality assurance requirements • Clear trash and empty property trash containers daily, including dogi pot • Sweep and clean sidewalks and stairs as needed • Clear debris from parking lot, landscaping, and dumpster area daily • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent • Prefer at least one year of related general repair experience • Basic working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and general repair skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse personalities • Strong organization and time management abilities • Ability to walk and climb/descend stairs approximately 50% of the time • Ability to frequently kneel, reach, crawl, and twist torso as required • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
