About the Role
The role involves hands‑on design of wet utilities such as potable‑water, storm‑water, highway drainage, treated‑sewage effluent and sewerage networks, using AutoCAD 2D, Civil3D, OpenRoads and MicroStation. Candidates must be able to design pumping stations, road/bridge crossings, valve chambers and related general arrangements. Project leadership responsibilities include coordinating with lead offices, mentoring junior staff, ensuring quality checks and overseeing multiple geographically dispersed projects simultaneously. The role also requires providing training on design standards and digital tools, as well as managing resources, budgets and cost estimates. • Design wet utilities (potable water, storm‑water, highway drainage, treated sewage effluent, sewerage) using AutoCAD 2D, Civil3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation. • Design pumping stations, road/bridge crossing structures, valve chambers and general arrangements. • Provide technical support for asset relocation, tagging, connection and standard drawings. • Manage project data within CDE platforms such as ProjectWise, BIM 360, ACC. • Lead multiple projects across different locations, coordinate with lead offices and mentor junior engineers. • Deliver training on design standards and digital tools; oversee quality assurance. • Conduct resource planning, budgeting and cost estimation for projects.

What You Bring
The Senior Engineer to Principal Engineer – Water Infrastructure role is based in Bangalore (with hybrid working) and reports to the Water Business Line in Karnataka. The position targets candidates with at least nine years of experience, preferably on international projects in the UK, USA, Canada, MER or ANZ regions. Experience with hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., Water Hammer, Sewer GEMS/InfoWorks, HEC‑RAS) and clash analysis in Navisworks is advantageous. The engineer will support asset relocation, tagging, connection drawings, and will manage data in Common Data Environment platforms such as ProjectWise, BIM 360 or ACC. Candidates should hold a master’s degree in Civil, Water Resources, Environment or related fields, and be working toward a professional qualification such as CEng (ICE/IET) or CCIWEM. Strong communication, problem‑solving, accountability and a willingness to learn are essential. • 9+ years of engineering experience, preferably on international water infrastructure projects. • Proficiency with hydraulic modelling tools (Water Hammer, Sewer GEMS/InfoWorks, HEC‑RAS) and clash detection in Navisworks. • Hold a master’s degree in Civil/Water Resources/Environment and pursue CEng or CCIWEM qualification. • Demonstrate strong communication, problem‑solving, accountability and ability to work under pressure.
