About the Role

The Operations Supervisor – Hauling Operations oversees collections activities across commercial, residential, roll‑off, and container services within a geographically dispersed area. Working with the Operations Manager and General Manager, the supervisor implements tactical initiatives to achieve functional excellence and meet budget goals, while ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, regulatory, accounting, ethics, and other standards. Safety is a core focus: the supervisor leads safety programs, removes unsafe conditions from driver routes, partners with sales and maintenance to address hazards, and enforces accident‑prevention policies. By engaging employees in a culture of safety, the supervisor helps create a safe and productive work environment. In the realm of customer experience, the supervisor ensures service meets or exceeds expectations, monitors missed‑pickup targets, resolves unusual requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes, and acts as a positive company representative to drive satisfaction and loyalty. Efficiency responsibilities include setting productivity goals, managing labor hours and disposal expenses, leading drivers to exceed performance targets, optimizing routes for density, reducing route hours through service conversions or container upsizing, and supporting fleet maintenance to meet budgeted objectives.
