About the Role
The Solution Architect reports directly to the Lead Solution Architect and joins a team focused on leveraging cloud, data analytics, IoT, and design thinking to create intelligent buildings and smart cities. In this role you will work with customers and partners to conceive, design, and implement technology solutions, translating business requirements into system and technical specifications that align with the enterprise architectural plan. You will collaborate with business and technology leaders at Johnson Controls and with customers to select the optimal technical architecture for their business needs. As an experienced Solution Architect you will review and interpret detailed business requirements to ensure alignment with Johnson Controls solutions. You will define logical architecture, data flows, and integration points for OpenBlue solutions, and lead customer design workshops. Additionally you will manage authentication, enterprise SSO, data security, privacy impact assessments, cyber‑security reviews, and the development of interface control documents. You will also design, configure, and support the OpenBlue Bridge gateway, network architecture, and connector installations throughout testing and production. • Define logical architecture and data flows for OpenBlue solutions • Identify data requirements and prepare solution architecture documents • Lead customer design workshops and coordinate with manufacturers for API specs and test systems • Liaise with customer IT to implement enterprise SSO and plan authentication/authorization for platforms and applications • Coordinate privacy impact assessments, cyber‑security assessments, and ensure data security and privacy compliance • Design and configure OpenBlue Bridge (OBB) gateway, network architecture, and manage OBB deployment and regulatory approvals • Install, configure, and test connectors in UAT and production environments • Prepare interface control documents and support branch engineers with OBB installation
