Job Highlights
About the Role
In this role you will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment on towers of various types. You will climb towers and ladders, conduct tower erections, off‑load material, prepare sites, and assist with antenna and transmission‑line installations using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles. You will also mentor less‑experienced technicians and ensure compliance with MasTec safety policies and industry standards such as OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, and ANSI. • Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. • Climb towers and ladders; conduct erection of various tower types. • Off‑load material, prepare and clean sites, and install carriers on new and existing towers. • Assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles; assemble monopoles and weld/knock‑down towers. • Install microwave, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas and associated transmission lines. • Perform foundation, grounding, conduit, and electrical installations as needed. • Mentor new or less‑experienced technicians. • Follow MasTec Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and industry standards (OSHA, TIA‑10‑48, NATE CTS, ANSI).

What You Bring
The ideal candidate has at least four years of tower experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to read technical prints and follow instructions. A strong safety record, problem‑solving aptitude, and willingness to work long‑term projects are essential, as is the physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, and hold a valid driver’s license. Possession of a PWSA certification is a plus. • Minimum 4 years tower experience and high school diploma required. • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and follow detailed instructions. • Working knowledge of safety standards; PWSA certification is a plus. • Physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, work up to 12 hours, and maintain a valid driver’s license. • Strong problem‑solving skills, commitment to high‑quality work, and readiness for long‑term projects.

Field
