About the Role
The role leads a team of five to six members, focusing on building organizational capability through structured development plans. It is responsible for procuring direct materials in compliance with plant and corporate quality and supply chain regulations, and for collaborating with a cross‑functional set of stakeholders to enhance operational buyer functions within the Center of Excellence. Key duties include coordinating with network schedulers for planning and execution updates, understanding material requirements, processing requisitions, and issuing purchase orders to suppliers. The incumbent works closely with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery, manages order exceptions, monitors internal KPI performance, and resolves discrepancies both internally and with external partners, including logistics and quality issues. Additional responsibilities encompass evaluating supplier performance, managing invoice holds, maintaining optimal inventory levels with input from analysts, handling RMA and reverse logistics, and supporting engineering and product managers on phase‑in/out activities. The position requires maintaining accurate purchasing data, leveraging digital SCM tools, resolving plant putaway issues, and bringing at least five years of SCM/CC/OM experience, fluent English (German a plus), ERP proficiency, and a proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset. • Lead a 5‑6 member team and develop capability plans. • Procure direct materials adhering to QA and SCM regulations. • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to improve buyer operations. • Coordinate with network schedulers for plan and execution updates. • Process material requisitions and issue purchase orders. • Ensure on‑time supplier delivery and manage order exceptions. • Monitor internal KPI metrics and implement corrective actions. • Resolve internal discrepancies and supplier issues (delivery, claims, quality). • Work with logistics partners to meet incoterm delivery requirements. • Evaluate supplier performance (SOTD) and drive corrective/preventive actions. • Manage supplier invoices and resolve payment holds promptly. • Maintain optimal inventory levels with analyst and scheduler input. • Handle RMA and reverse logistics with Supplier Quality. • Support engineering, product managers, and category managers on phase‑in/out (ECN) activities. • Maintain accurate purchasing data (price, lead time, MOQ, sourcing) with Data Health team. • Utilize digital SCM tools to maximize efficiency. • Resolve DC/Plant putaway issues.

What You Bring
• Possess 5+ years SCM/CC/OM experience and fluent English (German a plus). • Demonstrate ERP expertise (SAP, Oracle, Vista, BaaN) and strong communication skills. • Exhibit a continuous‑improvement mindset and proactive, can‑do attitude.
