About the Role
The Senior Marketing Specialist will join a small, dynamic marketing team to accelerate Aptitude’s rapid growth. The role involves creating marketing content, proposals, presentations, managing data, planning events, and supporting the brand strategy of both Aptitude and JE Dunn. • Create social media posts, emails, blogs, case studies, presentations, videos, and other content to grow the brand. • Maintain and update the marketing collateral library for team use in presentations and proposals. • Assist teammates with marketing and communication requests, branded merchandise orders, and event support. • Develop RFP/RFQ responses, including writing, resumes, project profiles, graphics, proofreading, and ensuring on‑time submission. • Produce presentation materials such as PowerPoint, Adobe presentations, brochures, and leave‑behinds for project pursuits. • Create unique marketing deliverables while preserving corporate identity. • Update marketing data in the CRM and other marketing systems. • Plan and coordinate trade shows, conferences, client events, and internal activities. • Capture and edit video assets as needed. • Write communications following brand guidelines, AP style, and internal templates using Adobe Creative Cloud and PowerPoint. • Contribute digital assets to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. • Provide courteous, responsive internal client service and promptly manage difficult client situations. • Identify and act on service opportunities. • Schedule social media posts, oversee paid campaigns, and monitor social traffic and analytics. • Update website content via WordPress and generate web analytics reports. • Partner with other departments to create unique marketing collateral while maintaining brand identity. • Serve as brand ambassador, ensuring materials align with brand governance, messaging, aesthetic, tone, and voice. • Lead marketing response workflow for large pursuits: manage deadlines, gather information, write, and produce proposals using templates. • Coordinate project and company photography and maintain the photography library. • Develop project case studies and write blogs. • Gather competitive intelligence and conduct market research to effectively market the brand. • Research competitors and provide analysis. • Promptly follow up on inquiries. • Learn and use various software, tools, and systems to meet business needs. • Solve complex problems quickly and effectively. • Collaborate cross‑functionally to obtain information and solve problems. • Build relationships that transcend projects.

What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience is acceptable. Candidates should have 5+ years of marketing, communications, or public‑relations experience, preferably in the AEC or tech industries. The role requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds, primarily office‑based work with typical sitting and computer screen viewing, occasional standing, walking, and reaching. Travel is generally not required. • Perform work accurately, completely, and on time. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient in MS Office. • Proficient in Adobe InDesign or other Adobe Creative Cloud software; create effective graphics. • Exhibit advanced organizational and detail‑oriented skills. • Adapt to change and prioritize multiple projects. • Thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. • Strong writing, proofreading, and AP style familiarity. • Familiarity with marketing systems such as HubSpot, WordPress, and Meltwater (preferred).
