About the Role
Energy infrastructure development is accelerating, making environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and impact assessment more complex and critical than ever. In this client-facing role, you will sit at the intersection of regulation, sustainability, and development, helping clients advance commercial-scale natural gas, renewable energy, and data center projects responsibly while meeting federal, state, and local requirements. • Lead and deliver environmental impact assessments, NEPA reviews, and permitting programs for large energy, data center, natural gas, solar, and wind projects. • Manage multi-media permitting and compliance, including preparation of applications, reports, data collection, and client recommendations. • Provide technical assistance and strategic guidance on permitting strategies, due‑diligence reviews, and regulatory compliance (Clean Water Act, ESA). • Oversee project delivery within quality, budget, schedule, and scope, collaborating with ERM practitioners on baseline, routing, land planning and siting studies. • Develop and submit technical proposals and support business development with existing and prospective clients. • Mentor and develop team members, fostering collaboration, quality, and technical excellence.

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in environmental or related field (or equivalent) with at least 8 years of permitting/project management experience in natural gas or renewable energy. • Demonstrated experience preparing NEPA documents and navigating federal, state, and local permitting in WV, VA, NC (plus preferred PA, MD, OH, KY). • Proficient in GIS, map interpretation, and research of natural resource topics; strong written and verbal communication skills. • Valid driver’s license required; ability to travel frequently across a large geographical area.
