About the Role
• Advance career across civil, mechanical, and environmental design for water supply, collection, treatment, and environmental projects. • Prepare conceptual and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. • Construct drawings under supervision of technologists or engineers. • Produce BIM drawings from engineering sketches and instructions. • Coordinate workload to meet engineering schedules. • Perform ongoing QA/QC of own work. • Work independently on assigned tasks and assist team members. • Support field assignments such as topographic surveys, construction supervision, and project coordination. • Ensure compliance with legislation and HDR corporate policies.

What You Bring
HDR is currently seeking a junior to intermediate CAD technician or technologist to support our Water Business, providing design and drafting expertise across civil, mechanical, and environmental projects related to water supply, collection, treatment, and environmental initiatives. • Minimum three years of related experience; new graduates considered based on work‑term or summer employment. • Advanced proficiency with Revit and Civil 3D. • Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure. • Competent with Microsoft Office products and communication tools. • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational traits. • Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.
