About the Role
The welder will execute routine welding tasks on HVAC units, setting up and maintaining welding machines, and performing vertical, horizontal, and overhead welds. They will inspect welds for cracks, burn‑through, and spatter, and use hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as required. Grinding and cleaning of work areas, as well as adhering to TPM and basic mechanical adjustments, are also required. • Perform routine welding on HVAC units, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. • Set up, maintain, and adjust welding machines (tips, liners, etc.). • Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, burn‑through, and spatter. • Utilize hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as needed. • Grind and clean work areas before and after welding. • Follow Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices and basic mechanical adjustments. • Adhere to hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention protocols. • Measure and interpret blueprints and welding symbols for precise work.

What You Bring
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with 1–3 years of welding experience. Prior exposure to Lean Manufacturing processes is advantageous, and welding certifications are preferred but not required. Candidates must be able to read tape measures, blueprints, and welding symbols, and possess the knowledge to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment. Professional communication, the ability to follow directions, and teamwork are essential, as is the capability to pass the required welding certification test. The role involves frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal temperature variations, dust, and occasional chemical fumes. Employees must stand for up to 95 % of the workday and lift up to 50 lb, while complying with hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures. • Communicate professionally, follow directions, and collaborate within a team. • Meet physical demands: stand for most of the shift, lift up to 50 lb, and work in varying temperature conditions.
